Nostradamus 2012 Predictions and Prophecy

It would be surprising if someone were to say they have never heard of Nostradamus. His name, when mentioned gets people’s attention. Whether they believe in the predictions of the ancient seer or not, one word and they know exactly who you’re talking about. Thanks to several programs on History in the past couple of years, Nostradamus 2012 is a really popular topic. What exactly is the world talking about that Nostradamus has prophesied will happen with the end of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012?
The much discussed Nostradamus 2012 prediction is creating global shock and fear. His mysterious quatrains and Lost Book are being translated to show he foresaw an astrological alignment that will bring cataclysm upon the world. This isn’t the only Nostradamus vision of end of the world events. Those who study the centuries of his work find predictions of disasters of unprecedented proportions like a massive cosmic collision and environmental disasters on a worldwide scale. He has written about diseases like plagues that take the lives of thousands, volcanoes spewing molten lava among some of his more alarming writings.
The prediction that the end of the world is fast approaching in 2012 is made more chilling with every new disaster or catastrophe that is added to this phenomenon. There are many people studying the centuries and quatrains the ancient Frenchman left to us hundreds of years ago. Some skeptics say that all that Nostradamus predicted has long since come to pass because that was all written down some 500 years ago. Others are busily weighing his words to glean any missing details from the often read lines.
There are those who are worriedly asking if there is any scientific proof the Nostradamus 2012 alignment is really going to happen. Many seek hard evidence; the truth that exists guaranteeing that December 21, 2012 is the day that humanity will awaken to find themselves witnesses to the end of the world.
There is no actual scientific proof that this cataclysmic cosmic collision, the planetary disaster of his vision for 2012 will definitely become a reality. Saying that the end of the world is an irrational prediction could be as hysterical a reaction as believing that the world could end. Science doesn’t know everything! They’d like to think they do, but they are wrong and discover their errors later when some new element is realized. In the early 20th century when comic books had science fictional characters flying into outer space, everyone knew it was just make believe. In fact some people thought that such nonsense was the Devil’s work corrupting young minds.
Today, flying around the solar system is not irrational, it is real. One must be careful not to take the wrong determination about 2012. Whether or not Nostradamus 2012 predictions are going to happen in 2011, 2012 or even 2014; they are disasters that would be best to prepare for in the event that his visions were correct. Great comets smashing into earth are not just the foreseen events shown to Nostradamus; the same thing is talked about in the Bible in the Book of Revelations. Recently, the Dark Comet discovery could very well develop into these end of times prophecies really happening, whether NASA says they will or not.
Nostradamus 2012 and end of times predictions like the Anti-Christ and war in the city of Jerusalem are echoed from other ancient texts. As is the coming of World War III, and horrible diseases erupting and claiming many lives been shown to others like Edward Cayce. Nostradamus isn’t the only well known prophet of global environmental catastrophes like flood, famine, earthquakes and volcanoes that will bring about much human suffering. His great comet smashing into Earth is nothing compared to the mountain blasting down from the heavens reported in Revelation. The mountain the angel warns will wipe out the second third of the planet.
For thousands of years, cultures around the world have known that at some day in the future the current age of man that we exist in would be shattered and end. It would be wise to equip yourself with some form of insurance, a preplanned protection package much like covering your house in the freak event it burns to the ground. Because whether it’s Nostradamus 2012 or the last date in the Mayan calendar, how can so many things rushing together at once not be a reason to prepare to survive 2012? The end of two thirds of the planet may not be the end of the world, but it isn’t going to come and go quietly like any other day.
